This is wonderful – the composition, colours, and gently diffuse lighting are perfect. The only thing I could say by way of criticism (and this really is a minor point) is that the three rings around the vertical section of the two pipes (as they appear here), and the join between these sections and the upper pipe, is a tad oversharpened. Or, more accurately, they’re sharpened to the point whereby the sharpening itself is visible. I realise this is an inherent problem with sharpening areas with a high tonal separation, but I might have been tempted to add a bit of blur to these sections. But I am nit-picking – this is a great shot.
Using my skills of head tilting- a 35 or so degree turn of my head to the side sets this image at actual parallelism to the ground. Nicely, guv. :)
oooh… I love the colors and the lines. And, that defused reflection on the pipe adds a really nice touch.
