Red Blue Divide

Posted: 24:12:2015

Macro image of a plate. The upper portion of the image features intense, fiery hues of red and orange that resemble molten lava or burning embers, with a textured, almost cellular appearance. This area transitions sharply into a dark, jagged border that looks like smoke or char, adding a dramatic visual boundary.

Below this fiery edge, the lower half of the image is a calm, cool expanse of soft blue. The blue area is smooth and uniform, providing a stark contrast to the chaotic warmth above it.

The interplay between the colours and textures suggests a metaphorical landscape — evoking imagery of a volcanic shoreline, an atmospheric horizon, or even a stylized representation of fire meeting water.
