“Standing Still Among the Pines”

Tucked away in a quiet woodland clearing, this lone birch rises like a pale sentinel among a sea of young conifers. Its bare branches, delicate and threadlike, weave into the crisp blue sky, stark against the dense green below. The evergreens, rich and vibrant, stretch upwards as if reaching for the sun, while the birch remains still—weathered, wise, and rooted.

There’s something poetic about the contrast: life in different stages, textures meeting, colours clashing and harmonizing at once.
